Payment Options / Fees Schedule
Warrnambool Orthopaedics is a private clinic and all patients are charged a fee for their initial consultation. Concessional rates are charged for pension card and healthcare card holders. A proportion of the fees can be reclaimed through medicare rebate. Please check with our clinic staff for further details.

Private surgery fees: Dr Mitra charges the BUPA schedule of fees for private patients undergoing surgery at St John of God Hospital Warrnambool. Depending on your insurance policy you hold, you may be charged a gap fee. This fee is well below the Australian Medical Association (AMA) recommended fee schedule. Your gap fee is discussed in detail and informed financial consent obtained from you prior to your commencement of treatment.
Self funded private patients: Patients opting to fully fund their surgical procedure at St John of God Hospital Warrnambool, should take into account the total costs (Surgeon, assistant, anaesthetist and hospital charges). We can assist you in estimating the costs involved. A proportion of these costs can be reclaimed through medicare.
